About Me

Offering 20 years of experience providing holistic, sensory integration, developmental, and aquatic occupational therapy. Locations include a variety of settings including clinics, schools, group homes, foster care and home care, private practice with children and adults. I am looking forward to working with you!

My Beliefs

I believe that everybody is created with their unique strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to work with families and individuals to reveal the love in people so they can shine in their relationships, Relationships as siblings, relationships as a son or daughter, or as a friend.

I enjoy working with people that possess unique characteristics. Those who are too intense for most people, those who are so inquisitive their brain never stop, those who smell things only a dog should be able to smell!

My Approach

I use a very non-traditional approach to therapy. First and foremost I want my client to feel comfortable and I want everyone to have fun! I believe, and science has proven, that the brain learns best if it's having fun while learning. I always use the just right challenge in my approach to therapy, Along with the gentle nudge. Clients will often progress much faster than their family expected. This is due to my knowledge in the area, knowing what therapy techniques to use and outcomes to expect, and how to guide the person to challenge themselves.

I offer a variety of options for therapy. Over the phone consultations, home visits, community consultations such as treatment at the dentist, doctor or school, therapy appointments in my clinic or therapy in a pool.

I've provided services to people without disabilities that want to learn how to improve their quality of life, people with issues that may or may not have a (complicated) medical diagnosis.

Sleep Therapy

I provide personalized sleep consultation and occupational therapy treatment for underlying developmental or sensory issues affecting poor sleep patterns for infants and children.  Service is provided over the phone, in my clinic, or in your home.  I provide step by step advice to help you and your children sleep better.  I do not use the cry-it-out method.  Typically parents that seek my helping this area have tried many things and read many books on this subject.  I can provide the help you need and will be there for you when you have questions and concerns.  I will help you and your family get better sleep.

Therapy

Services provided are individual or family therapy. Occupational therapy visits will address specific difficulty at home or at school. Therapy could be provided on a one-time basis (with education to the parents for follow-through), weekly visits, monthly visits. My favorite would be an intensive therapy situation with one or two weeks of therapy every day.
