Occupational Therapy
Services provided are individual or family therapy. Occupational therapy visits will address specific difficulty at home or at school. Therapy could be provided on a one-time basis (with education to the parents for follow-through), weekly visits, monthly visits. My favorite would be an intensive therapy situation with one or two weeks of therapy every day.

Piano Instruction
I have taught piano since I've been a teenager. I have taught students as young as 3 years old up to 80. Lessons are 30 minutes long. I used drums, recorders, other instruments to teach rhythm and counting. It's a very interactive lesson. I also do warm-ups for finger strengthening such as rock climbing or other fine motor strengthening exercises. My background in pediatric occupational therapy gives me a unique insight into instruction. I'm able to see underlying issues for students and that makes their advancement quicker. Of course, my main focus is the enjoyment of music and how music changes overall learning. Playing a musical instrument and learning rhythm and timing skills translates to improve reading and math. I teach people of all abilities.

I have lectured in a variety of settings. most people are usually interested in the sensory integration approach or sleep training lectures. I have lectured to the Minnesota Occupational Therapy association, MN Crisis Nursery, mothers groups, Church groups, and outpatient therapy clinics.
